We're looking for a skilled and proactive Sr. Systems Administrator with a strong background in identity and access management (IAM), particularly with Okta. In this role, you'll be responsible for the health, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure, with a special focus on managing our Okta environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in managing users, applications, and policies within Okta and is committed to maintaining a secure and streamlined access experience for our employees.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage our Okta environment, which includes user lifecycle management, application integrations (SAML, OIDC, SCIM), and policy configuration.
- Enforce IT security best practices, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and role-based access control (RBAC).
- Monitor suspicious activities, utilize geo-fencing, manage Okta Identity Governance (OIG), maintain audit logs, and ensure.
- Experience in configuring Okta workflows to automate processes.
- Enhancing internal IT processes, identifying automation opportunities, and managing initiatives from concept to execution.
- compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
- Manage and support company-wide SaaS tools, including Slack, Atlassian, Google Workspace, and others.
- Experience with implementing, maintaining an email security tool, Proofpoint, or CheckPoint.
- Collaborating with HR and Operations to ensure effective onboarding and offboarding processes for a seamless onboarding experience.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to meet business needs, implement new applications, and enhance our overall IT posture.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar position.
- Demonstrated extensive hands-on experience with Okta administration. Holding an Okta certification, such as the Okta Certified Administrator, is a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated experience with endpoint management solutions, such as Jamf, Intune, Kandji, or similar MDM platforms.
- Familiarity with network security, VPNs, firewalls, and zero-trust security models is essential. Experience with IT automation and scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, and Python is a plus.
- Proficient in efficiently troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Strong understanding of IT compliance, data privacy regulations (GDPR, SOC 2, Compliance), and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong team player and customer-centric.
Preferred
- Experience with multi-cloud environments, including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Preferred IT certifications include Okta, Google Workspace, Jamf, CompTIA Network+, or similar.
- AI and Automation experience.
- Deployment of Mobile Device Management (MDM) for Linux.
- BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
