Coinbase is looking for a highly driven individual to lead our Institutional Client Onboarding product. This role reports to the Head of Operations and is an opportunity to develop best in class processes with a client / automation first culture. The successful candidate will be responsible for continuing to refine what ‘best in class’ looks like from a scale, compliance and client user experience perspective, ensuring the Legal, Compliance, Operations, Design and Engineering Teams are supportive and executing towards a common vision and plan.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Directly accountable for developing an Institutional Client Onboarding Product that is best in class from a Compliance, Scale and Client Experience perspective.
  • Refine vision to move from being best to being transformational, leveraging web 3, on-chain technology.
  • Ensuing our solution has product market fit and is enabling of our clients fast on ramp to crypto and expedited commitment of capital.
  • Capture requirements, prioritize investments, work with Compliance Engineering and Operations to test and deploy features.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • Experience on Client Onboarding Change Management.
  • Outstanding ability to Influence without authority, coordinate complex functions and stakeholders and make decisions that put clients and the firm first.
  • Understanding of the client onboarding KYC /AML process.
  • Superb judgment to respect Compliance standards but also find a solution that allows us to provide scale and a UX which result in transformational onboarding time.
  • Strong communicator - internally to senior leadership and externally with customers to understand their journey.
  • Comfortable operating as a player coach. Make decisions & influence the most senior leadership whilst being happy to roll up sleeves.
  • Strong track-record of building and operating within high performing teams.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple ambiguous deadlines and projects in a fast moving environment.
  • Ability to process complex issues, clearly and concisely communicate them, and turn them into simple recommendations, considerations, and tradeoffs.
  • Crypto passionate.
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to complex operational challenges.
  • Keen to learn and a track record of continuous learning.

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range from $195,500 to $230,000 + target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
