About the role
We are looking for a Compliance & Money Laundering Reporting Officer to join the Gnosis Pay team. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that the organization complies with external regulatory requirements and internal policies.
With the support of experienced operators and technical specialists, you will develop, implement, and oversee AML and compliance framework, compliance control inventory, compliance governance, regulatory compliance policies and procedures, ensuring content meets regulatory requirements and contractual obligations.
As MLRO you are responsible for compliance with all anti-financial crime activities paying regard to the applicable regulations and guidance in the EU and Portugal, including, but not limited to:
MLRO annual report to Board
Evidencing threshold and alert governance in agreement with the Board
Promptly responding to alerts, investigating to closure where necessary
Drafting and submitting all suspicious activity reports
Design, implement, and manage compliance programs to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
Stay updated with regulatory and industry standards changes
As MLRO, execute/oversee and be accountable for all activities related to meeting regulatory expectations via documented workflow
Evidence all compliance workflows and reporting in an accurate and timely manner
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and develop strategies to mitigate risks
Implement risk management procedures to address identified compliance risks
Conduct or oversee periodic and risk based compliance monitoring in line with our compliance monitoring policy and see to it that alerts are promptly resolved
Evidence, track and update corrective actions within Gnosis Pay workflow
Prepare regular reports for management and regulatory bodies detailing compliance activities, issues, and recommendations for improvements
Develop and implement corrective actions and solutions to address compliance violations or issues
Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment of compliance procedures with operational processes
Act as a liaison with external regulatory agencies and auditors, facilitating audits and ensuring all compliance requirements are met
Support recruitment, retention and training activities internally
