The Team

We are looking for an Associate to join our growing Compliance Technology team. The person will work on systems automation, development, and optimization in Compliance programs.

The individual will primarily focus on reducing manual hours and enabling scalability of the Compliance operations teams globally. It is a technical role and requires individuals who bring hands-on prior coding experience. We are looking for go-getters who love doing impactful work.

An ideal candidate will have strong technical skills (Python, SQL, Rust) and familiarity of customer risk scoring, customer and transaction screening (sanctions, politically exposed persons and negative news) and transaction monitoring (fiat and crypto).

This is a fully remote position.

The Opportunity

  • Be a change agent and help achieve operational efficiencies through improved tooling

  • Identify, track and report automation opportunities in Compliance Operations

  • Implement automation either by hands-on development or in partnership with the internal engineering teams and vendors

  • Build KPIs and automated dashboards to monitor effectiveness of Compliance models/rules used in risk scoring, customer and transaction screening (sanctions, PEPs and negative news) and transaction monitoring (fiat and crypto)

  • Execute system optimization in partnership with the Compliance Operations teams

  • Build automated monitoring for changes to input and output data; ensure no slippages

  • Develop subject matter expertise pertaining to Compliance tools and achieve high quality results in a timely manner

Skills you should HODL

  • BA/BS or MA/MS degree in Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science or related technical fields

  • 3+ years in a systems engineering, systems implementation and/or data analysis roles in a Compliance Technology function or in a comparable role at a product company that specializes in RegTech solutions

  • At least 1 year of hands-on coding in Python, SQL or Rust

  • Working knowledge of Anti Money Laundering and Sanctions Screening regulations

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, continually prioritize while meeting goals and to collaborate effectively with colleagues across functions

Nice to Have's

  • Working knowledge of blockchain and cryptocurrencies

  • Experience working in a startup or fast paced environment

  • Experience working on global teams
