The Team

The Enterprise Integration & Automation team is responsible for owning and managing critical integrations between internal business applications, and external vendors. This team is also responsible for developing and managing critical system automations supporting multiple business functions within Kraken. This team works with cross-functional teams, vendors and stakeholders primarily across Finance, Human Resource, Legal, Customer Support, etc to optimize business processes and enhance overall efficiency through strategic application of system integrations and automation technologies.

The Sr. Manager of Enterprise Integration & Automation will be responsible for partnering closely with various business teams to understand pain points & areas of opportunity within business processes and systems, build project roadmap, execute on projects and support them.

This role will provide technical subject matter expertise and advisory to business and IT to architect scalable technology solutions and implement best in class integrations and automations for security, performance and operational efficiency. This role will manage a team of developers/ engineers implementing and managing the integration and automation technology landscape at Kraken.

This role will require deep understanding and working knowledge of various integration and automation technologies and tools, strong leadership skills, and expertise in selecting and implementing integration and automation tools. This role reports to the Sr. Director of IT.

The Opportunity

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive integration and automation strategy aligned with the goals and objectives of Kraken’s critical business teams

  • Design and architect best in class integration and automation solutions, and implement industry best practices and standards

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business goals and objectives to develop the technology roadmap for enterprise integrations and automations

  • Assess and define project scope, timeline, milestones and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

  • Manage integration and automation projects end to end, including planning, execution, monitoring and reporting

  • Evaluate, select, implement and manage third party iPaaS & Automation vendors and tools

  • Identify and manage risks associated with integrations and automations projects ensuring data security, and compliance

  • Form and maintain strong strategic relationships with stakeholders across the Human Resource, Finance, Legal, IT and other departments to influence business on latest technology and tooling for process efficiency and optimization opportunities

  • Manage and coach a team of analysts and engineers working across multiple projects and initiatives

  • Establish and implement strict testing processes to offer high quality in the technical solutions provided

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive repository of documentation for integrations and automations

  • Oversee project lifecycle(requirement gathering, design, development, test, release and stabilize) by managing risks, issues and dependencies using strict project governance methods

  • Accountable for production support, oversee and guide bug fixes for Integration & Automation solutions and work with vendors if needed for additional support and remedy

  • Identify, and analyze data for recommending improvements and opportunities to business and executive management

  • Proactively conduct system health checks and assessments to measure adoption, assess health and security, identify opportunity areas and act on them

Skills you should HODL

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • 10+ years of overall experience integrating systems and automating business critical processes in a cloud based environment

  • 4+ years of people management experience managing engineers, developers, or tech teams

  • 4+ years of experience working on automation and integration architecture and development

  • Experience working within the IT / Enterprise Applications team of a hyper growth company with complex data and integrations will be a plus

  • Thorough understanding of business processes (in Finance, Human Resource, Legal, Customer Support, etc) is a plus

  • Experience with a variety of automation tools, including RPA, BPM, etc

  • Experience with cloud based business applications and iPaaS middleware softwares and tools

  • Hands-on experience administering and developing on iPaaS & RPA tools is a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of project management techniques, and methodologies

  • Comfortable working on projects with ambiguity and able to handle multiple projects at the same time

  • Experience working with internal and external audit teams to conduct ISO, SOX, SOC type of audits will be required
