At Kraken Digital Asset Exchange, our Institutional Sales team is laser-focused on accelerating the global adoption of crypto among large-scale clients like hedge funds, asset managers, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. This team is at the forefront, demonstrating to major institutions how crypto can transform their business by introducing them to our comprehensive suite of offerings, including spot, futures, custody, staking, and credit.

The opportunity

We are on the hunt for a Sr. Manager, International Business to join our team remotely in Europe! We are seeking a highly ambitious and experienced sales manager to spearhead Kraken’s sales initiatives for our full suite of products and solutions.

In this role, you will craft strategic sales plans, evaluate costs and competition, and collaborate closely with executives, regional heads, and internal business partners to drive growth and revenue.

Additionally, you will lead a team of sales professionals across Europe, guiding them to consistently achieve our ambitious sales goals whilst ensuring their career progression is nurtured and supported.

  • Lead and coach a top-tier team of sales professionals, fostering their success and advancing their career growth.

  • Develop regional sales forecasts translating the sales vision into a compelling roadmap aimed at driving client and volume growth for the institutional product suite.

  • Monitor the team performance, its sales metrics and hold the team accountable to established KPIs.

  • Create, communicate, and implement training and development programs for Kraken’s sales team

  • Partner up with Marketing, Product, Strategy, and Business Development teams to provide market intelligence, develop new product features and leverage competitive advantages.

  • Participate in industry events and conferences to generate leads and enhance Kraken’s institutional brand presence.

  • Be a Kraken advocate in promoting our full product suite of products, services and company’s value to new and existing clients.

Skills you should HODL

  • Over 10 years of expertise in trading environments and/or traditional finance sales, demonstrating a proven track record of driving sales and expanding business within the institutional sales segment.

  • 1+ years of experience in a crypto firm focussing on financial products with an institutional client base

  • Proven business builder with a broad rolodex of clients and connections in the industry

  • Experience leading an international sales team demonstrating outstanding leadership capabilities.

  • Experience in formulating and executing long-term sales strategies, transforming them into actionable business plans that align with the company's mission and overarching strategy.

  • Deep familiarity with institutional crypto products and associated tech: trading APIs, OTC RFQ, futures and custody specs and parameters

  • Located in Europe or the UK with fluency in English; proficiency in an additional European language is a plus.

  • Experience in implementing and refining sales frameworks and processes, continually driving efficiency improvements to align with scalable organizational needs.

  • Experience shaping and improving CRM solutions to drive efficiency for sales teams.

  • Fearlessness to innovate boldly, move swiftly, and take calculated risks.

  • Passion about the cryptocurrency world and most importantly a learning attitude about new crypto-industry trends.
