The team

The Events team is responsible for shaping Kraken’s global presence, storytelling, and community engagement through executing world-class IRL experiences. This team plays a critical role in building meaningful connections with our global audiences — from institutions and partners to retail traders and policymakers.

The opportunity

  • Own Kraken’s global events strategy and portfolio: Lead planning and execution for events — collaborating with internal teams across institutional, VIP, listings, regional growth, product, policy, comms, and more

  • Build a world-class, self-sustaining team: Scale an events organization capable of managing strategy, execution, and measurement end-to-end — through playbooks and repeatable motions through which the team can scale operations

  • Own global event budgeting and ROI: Manage total program budget, allocate investment by tier, and develop clear ROI frameworks that tie every dollar to business impact

  • Define levels of participation: Determine the appropriate presence for each event — whether sponsorship, speaking, hosting, attendance, or brand activation — based on data, audience fit, and expected return

  • Develop a tiered event framework: Create a scalable model that classifies events by strategic importance, spend level, and measurable outcomes to guide long-term planning

  • Drive proactive planning: Establish a forward-looking 6–12 month event roadmap aligned to Kraken’s marketing calendar, growth objectives, and regional priorities

  • Integrate measurement and reporting: Design KPIs for each event — from lead generation and influenced revenue to awareness, engagement, and retention metrics

  • Partner cross-functionally: Collaborate with institutional and VIP sales, product, regional growth, policy, partnerships and other teams to ensure event strategies directly support pipeline growth, client success, and ecosystem influence

  • Ideate new experiences: Develop fresh approaches to Kraken-produced events such as user conferences and institutional showcases that drive trust and position Kraken as the industry’s most innovative leader

  • Champion Kraken globally: Represent the brand’s vision and voice through events that embody Kraken’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence

Skills you should HODL

  • 12+ years of experience leading events strategy, experiential marketing, or brand activations — ideally within fintech, crypto, or global tech environments

  • Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale events (conferences, summits, community engagements, and client experiences)

  • Strong strategic and creative leadership — able to translate brand purpose into powerful, measurable experiences

  • Deep expertise in event operations, including budget management, vendor negotiation, compliance, logistics, and production

  • Cross-functional collaborator comfortable aligning diverse teams (creative, product, comms, client, and executive leadership) around shared event goals

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use performance data and post-event insights to optimize impact and justify investment

  • Excellent communicator — confident presenting to senior executives, managing agencies, and representing the brand externally

  • Passion for crypto culture and belief in its power to redefine global finance

  • Comfortable working in a remote-first, fast-paced, high-accountability environment with global stakeholders
