About the Role

The Growth team at Paxos builds and manages partnerships with our largest and most strategic clients. As the Strategic Partnerships Lead for the Defi Ecosystem, you'll play a critical role in helping Paxos build the ecosystem that supports our tokenized assets. This includes building and owning relationships with Web3/DeFi entities and creating long-lasting partnerships. These partnerships will support our go-to-market strategies and increase the availability and adoption of Paxos-issued assets in the DeFi ecosystem.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and Execute Strategy: Create and implement a go-to-market strategy tailored for adoption of Paxos tokenized assets within the crypto ecosystem
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders across departments, such as Business Development, Product, Customer Success, Marketing, Compliance, Legal and Operations, to ensure the seamless execution of the ecosystem growth strategy
  • Client Advocacy: Serve as the advocate for the product and operational needs of large DeFi platforms (e.g., Uniswap) and blockchain communities (e.g., Solana), fostering strong relationships with key industry players
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Head of Revenue, Head of Strategy, and Product leadership to define and execute near and long-term growth objectives for this segment
  • Industry Expertise: Establish yourself as a domain expert in DeFi and blockchain communities, contributing to the development of forward-looking strategies and building a strong customer base.
  • Negotiation and Relationship Building: Negotiate contracts with win-win economics, ensuring profitable, long-term relationships with both customers and partners.
  • Prioritization: Ruthlessly prioritize, focusing the team's efforts on the most promising opportunities while efficiently managing others that are less obvious.

About you

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, product, consulting, or strategy roles
  • Deep knowledge of and existing relationships with various players in the crypto ecosystem, including DeFi projects, centralized exchanges and blockchain protocols
  • Proven experience in talent attraction and leadership development within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional client engagement skills, capable of communicating effectively with C-level executives at large regional and global companies
  • Polished and articulate with credible communication skills in both business and social settings
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a startup environment, showing flexibility and resilience in the rapidly changing landscape of emerging technologies
  • A robust network of relationships within the crypto ecosystem
  • A strong desire to work with a global customer base

Pay and benefits

Paxos offers a competitive total compensation and benefits package, including equity. Actual salary within that range is dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications.

Expected range for the salary component for candidates located within the United States is:
$180,000$211,500 USD
