Utilizing a ZK Coprocessor to assist or enhance the compute of an on-chain application, we have created a unique package - the RISC Zero ZK Coprocessor, comprised of the zkVM, Bonsai, and ETH Relay. Now, we're ambitiously constructing an entire ecosystem around this groundbreaking technology.
To ensure effective collaboration and seamless communication across our global team, all candidates must be available to overlap with the Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone for at least 3 hours during regular business hours. This requirement is essential for maintaining efficient workflow, participating in team meetings, and facilitating timely responses to customer inquiries and internal requests.
About the Role
As a Senior Solutions Engineer at RISC Zero, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of blockchain technology by working closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions. Through this process, you will contribute valuable insights and feedback to improve our product offerings. You will work on diverse projects such as building decentralized applications, crafting innovative smart contracts, and quickly prototyping to meet client needs. Your work with clients will inform the ongoing evolution of the Bonsai network. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, create detailed technical documentation, develop and maintain demo applications, and stay at the forefront of blockchain technologies and trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement decentralized applications and smart contracts on blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, Cosmos, or Bitcoin.
- Build production applications using Rust or similar programming languages.
- Gain a deep understanding of cryptography, consensus algorithms, and smart contracts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to develop customized blockchain solutions.
- Gather customer feedback and translate it into actionable improvements for the product.
- Support application development by incorporating blockchain consensus changes and working across multiple blockchains.

Qualifications:
- Strong technical background with a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing complex solutions, preferably in the field of software development, cloud computing, or security.
- In-depth knowledge of blockchain technology and experience with decentralized applications, smart contracts, and blockchain platforms like Ethereum, Cosmos, or Bitcoin is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in solution engineering, such as Rust, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages.
- Solid understanding of cryptography, consensus algorithms, and blockchain protocols a strong plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with clients.
- Proven track record of delivering successful projects and driving results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Continuous learning mindset, staying updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the field of solutions engineering.
