About the role:


Bolt is seeking a People Operations Generalist to support our existing people team and employee population. This successful candidate is customer-obsessed, a change agent who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has strong relationship-building skills combined with effective listening and communication skills.


Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Interface with employees and triage requests as the first point of contact for all HR-related questions

  • Assist with reporting needs to ensure data integrity within internal systems

  • Act as liaison with the company's external partners (brokers, PEO, etc.) and process updates to the system or employee files as needed

  • Manage payroll processes for our global employee workforce

  • Organize and become subject matter expert on information related to company benefits

  • Handle the entirety of the employee life-cycle, from onboarding new hires, to employee check-ins and managing employee offboardings.

  • Administrative HR support such as performance management and compensation data, immigration, leave of absence, in partnership with People Ops Leaders, and Executive leadership.

  • Any other ad hoc people-related tasks and projects that may come up -- a can-do attitude!


Skills Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a People Ops/HR Generalist capacity, preferably at a fast-growing startup

  • Familiarity and comfortable working in remote/distributed teams

  • Knowledgeable about state and national regulations concerning all aspects of employment (vacation, overtime pay, employee benefit eligibility, etc.)

  • Proven strong foundation and knowledge of principles & practice of HR including payroll and benefit standards, employment law & compliance requirements

  • Customer service attitude toward internal employees

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to set high personal goals and work independently

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments

  • Precise attention to detail
