The Opportunity

As a Staff Technical Product Manager (L6) at Bolt, you will be the connective tissue between visionary strategy and technical execution. You aren’t just managing a roadmap; you are architecting the future of Agentic Commerce and the Consumer SuperApp.

This role is high-stakes and high-impact. You will lead the expansion of our core Checkout and Connect products, while optimizing the Fraud Engine that protects billions in transaction volume. You will own the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from ideation to post-launch optimization, ensuring our products are scalable, compliant, and market-leading.

Please note, this is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the option to convert to full-time after 3–6 months.

What You’ll Do

  • End-to-End Ownership: Drive the product lifecycle for mission-critical workstreams, including Checkout, Connect, Consumer products and our evolving Agentic Commerce capabilities.

  • Technical Requirement Synthesis: Lead complex requirements-gathering sessions with both internal business units and external clients. You will be responsible for translating ambiguous business goals into rigorous Technical Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) that include logic flows, edge-case handling, Data Flow diagrams and data schemas.

  • Engineering Partnership: Technical fluency, write high-fidelity functional specifications, You will facilitate technical grooming sessions, ensuring engineers have the clarity needed to build without constant back-and-forth.

  • Design Collaboration: Partner closely with Engineering and Architecture teams during the design phase. While you won't be responsible for creating the technical designs yourself, you will deeply vet them to ensure they meet business requirements and are built for long-term scalability.

  • Executive Influence & Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the primary bridge between highly diverse stakeholders. You will align Engineering and QE on technical specs, Legal, Finance and Sales on go-to-market readiness.

Who You Are

  • The Technical Liaison: You have a technical background (Computer Science degree or equivalent experience) that allows you to "speak Engineer." While you aren't the one drafting the system design, you are well-versed in technical architecture, allowing you to collaborate effectively, ask the right questions, and spot risks in a proposed design early.

  • The Master Orchestrator: You have at least 5 years of experience delivering complex products end-to-end. You understand that "shipped" is just the beginning and take full accountability for every phase of the SDLC.

  • A Precision Communicator & Documentarian: You take pride in the quality of your documentation. You possess the rare ability to elicit hidden requirements from non-technical stakeholders (Sales, Legal, Finance) and translate them into crystal-clear technical specs that engineers actually enjoy reading.

  • The Bridge-Builder: You are comfortable speaking "Legal," "Finance," and "Sales" just as fluently as you speak "API" and "Latency." You can synthesize these disparate needs into a single, cohesive product vision.

  • High Agency: You don't wait for permission. You identify gaps in the SDLC or the product and fill them.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Product Management, ideally in high-growth SaaS or FinTech.

  • Exceptional Technical Writing: Proven ability to write detailed Technical PRDs, API documentation, and functional specs for engineering teams.

  • Requirements Discovery: Demonstrated experience facilitating discovery workshops to extract requirements from non-technical stakeholders and translating them for Engineering.

  • Deep SDLC Knowledge: Proven track record of managing products through the entire development lifecycle, from initial concept through QE to global launch.

  • Technical Literacy: Well-versed in system design and API-first architecture; able to provide meaningful feedback on technical proposals and understand complex system dependencies.

  • Payments Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of the payments ecosystem.

Preferred "Bonus" Skills:

  • Previous Developer Experience: You’ve spent time in the IDE and understand the developer's journey.

  • Certifications: PMP or similar project management certifications.

  • Experience in AI/Agents: Familiarity with LLMs or autonomous agent frameworks.
